The start of the birds
This photo was taken in the fall of 1983. Dad,Grandpa and myself had recently hauled this quonset hut home purchased from a local farmer. We moved everything from the little shed and built a run connecting the two buildings. This was the start of all the birds. At one point I had over 100 birds total. Chickens, geese, guinea, quail and pigeons. I really enjoyed all of this…I truly believe it taught me a lot of responsibility and kept me out of trouble. If you look real close, you can see an old school Blatz beer bottle sittin’ on the hood of Grandpa’s truck…hehe.
