Test shots at 1949 Ford truck shoot before placing model
Here are a few test shots from the old truck shoot with Taylor H. These images are “SOOC”, straight out of camera. I was still getting the ambient and speed light exposures where I wanted them, before we placed Taylor in the shot. It’s crazy how fast the light can change. The sun was setting on the back side of the factory and I had to keep slowing the shutter speed down to let more natural light in. I like to try and stay at ISO100 or 200 outdoors in bright light and when exposing the subjects face with the speed light, but even had to bump that towards the end of these shots. I ended up at 1/60 of a second. I was using my Nikkor 35mm prime lens on the D7000 and didn’t want to drop below the 1/60 second. Now…check out the sexy model in this last photo…hehe.
